Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

This Hispanic Heritage Month we would like to thank all of our Latino members for their hard work and everything they do for our union family.

In 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson established National Hispanic Heritage Month as a celebration and recognition of the important contributions Hispanic Americans make to our country. Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

If you’d like to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month visit, https://www.hispanicheritagemonth.gov/, to learn more about the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. Discover documents, exhibits, films, blog posts and more from the National Archives and Presidential Libraries that highlight Hispanic culture.

We hope you will join us in paying tribute to Hispanic Americans and their many contributions to our communities, country and union family.
