#MemberMonday Ginger Johnson Kroger 745

Ginger Johnson, a 21 year member at Kroger 745 in Somerset, KY is a survivor! She is a double breast cancer survivor who has been in remission for over 1 year. Before her diagnosis Ginger was an volunteer for Relay for Life as the team captain at her store. For 11 years she volunteered by helping organize events like the survivor dinner and games for the events. She didn’t realize how much of an impact Relay for Life made until she was given her own diagnosis in 2019.

Members from District 5, especially those at 745 and 757 collected money for her while she was in recovery. they delivered food, checked on her daily and at times drove her to her chemo treatments. Mary Estes the Customer Service Leader at 745 lead the charge in organizing the team. Her union family really pulled together and made her feel loved and she couldn’t be more appreciative of them.
