New Frances Perkins National Monument

Frances Perkins impacted workers in officially monumental ways. Known for being the first woman to serve as a cabinet secretary Frances Perkins was the US Secretary of Labor for President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933-1945. In 2024 the Frances Perkins National Monument became the United States 433rd National Park site.
